About The Position
The Assistant Manager supports the operation of the facility, including operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients between delivery, storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and co-workers verbally and in writing, both by phone and in person. Delivery-related skills include safely driving one's own vehicle, navigating roads and maps, and handling adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products. The position also requires accurate arithmetic to make correct monetary change, with a calculator permitted.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, by phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive one's own vehicle and navigate roads and maps.
- Ability to traverse adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders or stairs, stooping or bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and grasping.
