About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of a high-energy convenience store and helps ensure smooth store performance across shifts. The role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and work is primarily on second or third shifts. The Assistant Manager may act as manager when the Store Manager is away and is expected to help lead the team, serve customers, and maintain the store.

Requirements

Open availability to work weekends and holidays, primarily second or third shifts.
Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
Ability to perform cleaning and outdoor maintenance tasks, including restroom cleaning, trash removal, and pump-area maintenance.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Proficient in English with basic math skills.
Willingness to learn.
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Operate the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
Help hire, train, and lead a customer-service-focused team.
Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure coverage.
Perform daily cash handling and deposits, and oversee store financials.
Provide feedback and leadership to motivate team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
