About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps achieve sales growth and maintain company standards of excellence for an assigned shift. The role manages food service activity, assigns tasks, oversees cash control, and focuses on providing high-quality food and hospitality. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager supports training Team Members, assists with overall operations, and works to develop and retain Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Team Members and Shift Leaders while maintaining standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability.
• Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
• Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and Team Members.
• Handle human resources issues as they arise, including disciplinary write-ups.
• Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
• Conduct weekly inventories.
• Control payroll to meet company labor-cost standards.
• Control inventory to meet company GAP standards.
• Support the management team and General Manager in operational decisions.
• Maintain reports and records according to company standards and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain the building and equipment through proper operating, cleaning, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assume responsibility for cash on all shifts, including bank deposits, and ensure cash procedures are followed.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
• Meet company standards for personal appearance and display professionalism.
• Follow human resources, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.
