Big 10 Mart Assistant Manager

About The Position
The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in supervising sales workers and helping run a Big 10 Mart convenience store. The role does not have authority to hire, discipline, or terminate employees. The Assistant Manager learns the store’s duties, including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, ordering, and paperwork, and serves as the Store Manager’s right hand. The position offers an opportunity to develop toward a manager-in-training role, with potential to advance to Store Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years in the retail or convenience-store industry is highly desired.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods, communicate verbally and in writing, and crouch, crawl, squat, and climb as required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or another two-year degree or higher preferred.
- Six months of leadership experience preferred.
