About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for achieving sales growth and maintaining company standards of excellence during an assigned shift. The role manages food service activity, assigns tasks, oversees cash control, and focuses on delivering high-quality food and hospitality. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager helps train Team Members, supports the General Manager, assists with overall operations, and helps develop and retain Team Members. The position also involves supervising Team Members and Shift Leaders, coordinating training, addressing HR issues, managing inventories, payroll and cash procedures, maintaining records and facilities, and enforcing sanitation, safety, security, and company policies. The work requires standing for long periods, working around high temperatures and in close quarters, lifting 50–75 pounds, and using cleaning products.

Responsibilities

Supervise Team Members and Shift Leaders while maintaining quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability standards.
Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and fellow Team Members.
Handle HR issues, including disciplinary write-ups.
Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
Conduct weekly inventories.
Control payroll to meet company labor-cost standards.
Control inventory to meet company GAP standards.
Support the management team and General Manager in operational decisions.
Maintain reports and records according to company standards and applicable state and federal regulations.
Maintain the building and equipment through proper operating, cleaning, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Assume responsibility for cash for all shifts, including bank deposits, and ensure cash procedures are followed.
Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
Maintain personal appearance according to company standards and display professionalism.
Follow HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
