About The Position
The assistant to the Turfgrass Research Center manager supports the supervisor in maintaining research equipment and facility infrastructure, ensuring safety compliance, and managing field research plots. The role also assists with training personnel, coordinating land and facility use, maintaining inventory records, and supporting field demonstrations and data collection.
Requirements
- Experience with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Background in turf management, landscaping, agronomy, or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and certifications.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to train and supervise personnel.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to apply fertilizers, chemicals, and pesticides.
