The Sherwin-Williams Assistant Manager Trainee Program is an accelerated, entry-level program designed to prepare current employees for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. After successful completion of the initial 6–8-week training, participants may progress into an Assistant Store Manager position. The typical schedule is 44 hours per week and may include evenings and/or weekends. Trainees collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business and contribute leadership and insight to store development and strategy. They learn store operations, customers, and internal strategy while helping grow market share by selling products to commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers. Training develops skills for a career in management and professional sales, including customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. The program includes structured development discussions and opportunities to build professional relationships in the community. The position is eligible for performance-based bonus under the Company's applicable plans and for benefits including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, disability coverage, retirement and savings benefits, and time away from work, including personal, parental, medical leave, vacation, and holidays. Job duties include customer contact and access to cash, payment methods, equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value; a criminal history review is therefore required.
