About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Technology Finance, will be mainly responsible for supporting the month end close process, working closely with other members of the Technology Finance team and internal technology partners to ensure accurate, complete, and timely execution. This role supports the design and implementation of technology finance processes, procedures, controls, and systems in support of the ongoing evolution of technology financial practices. The role also focuses on challenging the status quo and enhancing existing processes through automation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and execute a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to challenge the status quo through innovative thinking and describe enhancement opportunities clearly and concisely to finance leaders
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a business degree and/or a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
  • experience in SAP

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of month-end and quarter-end financial processes, through collaboration with internal finance partners and stakeholders
  • Partner with technology partners and data stewards to ensure financial models and methodologies remain appropriate, while administering and updating existing frameworks to adapt to organizational changes as required
  • Supports the execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Technology Finance reporting, tools, processes and workflows
  • Support forecasting and budgeting cycles by collaborating with internal finance and technology teams to ensure accurate and appropriate financial allocations, methodologies and frameworks are being applied
  • Support special/ad hoc projects, as required
