About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and overseeing accounting and reporting related duties for Welltower partnerships and operator relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • Work experience of at least six years
  • Knowledge of accounting theory, including GAAP and IFRS, is required
  • Familiarity with real estate and international experience is a plus
  • A strong focus towards customer service
  • The ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • The ability to problem-solve individually

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification of CPA or equivalent is strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 2-3 accountants
  • Review financial information received from various operating partners
  • Manage the flow of operating partner financial information throughout the organization
  • Communicate and facilitate accounting initiatives with operating partners
  • Review intercompany transactions and monitor balances for proper elimination
  • Analyze monthly financial results from operating partners
  • Review journal entries and monthly internal controls
  • Approve monthly cash distributions to operating partners
