About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an Assistant Manager of Nursing for the Cardiac Progressive Care unit. Under the direction of the Nursing Director, this role works with the Department RN Manager to plan, implement, and coordinate the operational, financial, and personnel activities of the designated area or areas. The position provides clinical and operational leadership for assigned units, including hands-on unit presence and direction to facilitate patient care and achieve organizational outcomes.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico or Compact State nursing license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• One year of experience in the clinical area.
• Detailed knowledge of nursing, standards-based practice, and shared governance, including the ability to interpret data.
• Understanding of human resource issues, operational budgets, and financial resources.
• Ability to determine appropriate courses of action in complex situations not addressed by existing policies, procedures, or protocols.
• Ability to make decisions involving staffing levels, work sequencing, and application of established procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification in the area of practice and/or management preferred.
