About The Position

The Assistant Manager IT is responsible for supporting and managing the company's IT infrastructure, systems, security, and technical operations to ensure smooth business continuity. This role involves supervising daily IT activities, leading the IT support team, maintaining network and system performance, and implementing technology solutions aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strong technical knowledge, hands-on leadership, and a strategic mindset to drive reliable and secure IT operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of hands-on IT infrastructure and support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and develop IT staff.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Scripting capability in PowerShell or Bash for automation and administration tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily IT operations covering servers, networks, systems, and end-user support.
  • Supervise and guide IT support staff to ensure timely, effective issue resolution.
  • Monitor system performance, security posture, and availability across the organization.
  • Ensure high availability of business-critical systems through proactive maintenance and monitoring.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, access controls, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Manage backup systems and disaster recovery procedures to maintain business continuity.
  • Conduct regular security audits and lead vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and privileged account management.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Administer cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage, cost efficiency, and cloud security configurations.
  • Support software deployment and manage development, staging, and testing environments.
  • Coordinate with development teams for infrastructure support of applications and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage hardware and software procurement, installation, and IT asset tracking.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
  • Ensure software licensing compliance across the organization.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 escalation support for complex infrastructure and system issues.
  • Troubleshoot advanced technical problems and drive root cause resolution.
  • Support cross-functional teams with environment troubleshooting and software deployment.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, SOPs, configuration records, and technical reports.
  • Assist in planning IT budgets, system upgrades, and technology improvements.
  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmap planning aligned with business goals.
