Join us as we build a living model of the world that people and machines can talk to. We're seeking an Assistant IT Manager to provide IT support across our 4 US-based and 2 international offices. This role is responsible for providing in-office troubleshooting, day-to-day support, and maintenance of employee endpoints and office systems (such as networking equipment, printers and Zoom), as well as contributing to projects to improve Niantic Spatial’s IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with the Senior IT Manager and Corporate Security team, as well as cross-functionally to provide best-in-class technical support and solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience providing prompt, friendly and attentive IT support both in-office and over Zoom (sometimes to multiple users at once) in a face-paced help desk environment of 100+ employees while maintaining internal SLAs.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting issues and working with modern computer and phone operations systems, with an emphasis on macOS.
  • Experience using and performing admin actions in major SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, MDM tools (such as JAMF), Slack, Zoom, enterprise wi-fi, and the Atlassian suite, as well as familiarity with setting up SAML/SSO.
  • Strong team player who can work with others toward achieving team and company goals, including but not limited to: opening new offices, managing systemwide deployments and upgrades, deploying new and upgrading existing network infrastructure, etc.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and services (e.g. Cursor, ChatGPT) for both Engineers and Business Operations roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small to medium sized IT projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Required in office Monday-Thursday, with Fridays and overtime work for special events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable technical support and troubleshooting to employees, both in-office and over Zoom for laptops and mobile devices, Zoom conference rooms, office networks and VPNs, printers, etc., as well as dozens of SaaS services.
  • Provide cross functional support between multiple departments, including Security, Real Estate Workplace Services, Engineering, Legal, Recruiting, and Finance to ensure internal collaboration and success of initiatives.
  • Assist with companywide IT initiatives, such as systemwide deployment of new software and security patches, opening of new offices, network upgrades, password rotations, and other large-scale efforts.
  • Implement administrative changes with supervision to companywide enterprise software (e.g. Google Workspace, Atlassian, etc.)
  • Follow internal IT policies and procedures with high attention to detail and identify opportunities to document new procedures.
  • Onboard new employees and off board exiting employees.
  • Provide IT and AV support for special events and company all hands meetings.
