The arena is owned by One Roof Sports & Entertainment and operated by Oak View Group. It is home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA's Seattle Storm, PWHL’s Seattle Torrent and the world's biggest performers of live music and events. Climate Pledge Arena has one of the most progressive sustainability programs of any building its size, including being the world’s first Zero Carbon Certified arena. Named after a cause, not a corporation, The Climate Pledge is an initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism asking global corporations to become net zero carbon by 2040. Climate Pledge Arena opened October 19, 2021.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.
  • Must have the ability to understand both written and verbal communication from supervisors and management.
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, kneel, squat, bend and extend arms and legs fully.
  • Stays in compliance with all NHL/PWHL/WNBA game operations standards. (promotions, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an NHL/NBA venue preferred.
  • Proven ability to work as a team and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily set up and handle changes for events hosted at Climate Pledge Arena.
  • Delegate workload to Full-Time and Part-Time Conversion Crew members (non-union & union, respectively), while maintaining communication of any changes.
  • Administrative duties include but are not limited to creating staff schedules, completing and approving payroll, staff trainings, disciplinary action and hiring of staff.
  • Duties include but are not limited to preparing and organizing tools, cleaning/maintaining arena equipment, planning and managing arena projects and coordinating various yearly inspections.
  • Work synergistically alongside the ice operations manager, operations manager and conversion manager to ensure all jobs are done in a timely and precise manner.
  • Manage show load-ins and chair sets to ensure all show requirements are met via the tour and/or event manager.
  • Manage and delegate all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events, basketball games, hockey games and concerts and ensure that everything is handled accordingly.
  • Duties include but are not limited to setting up and tearing down dasher walls, hockey glass, ice & transition decking, portable chairs, retractable seating, barricades, staging, tables and other furniture and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to conversion and arena related materials including equipment, large retractable seating sections and fixed seating.
  • Maintain and manage applicable storage areas, ensuring staff keeps things clean and organized
  • Inventory tracking of all applicable facility equipment.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage and loss of property and safety concerns.
  • Use of power tools, forklifts, lifts and other construction related equipment.
  • Use of computerized maintenance management system.
  • Strong understanding of event memos, event details and concert setups to ensure a safe environment for all staff and guests.
  • Willing to learn CAD drawings and other maps related to concert set ups.
