About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Production Technician on the 1st Shift (6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M.) at a Union Manufacturing Plant. The role involves manufacturing corrugated and rigid box packaging and displays. The starting pay is $25.59/hr, with competitive wages and benefits. Employees are eligible to join the union after 30 working days. The position requires flexibility with job duties, as tasks can change frequently throughout the day. Applicants must be able to perform job requirements full-time, with frequent overtime hours as needed, and adhere to all company policies including safety, fire, GMP’s, and sanitation rules. All applicants are subject to a background check, physical, and drug screen prior to employment.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk short distances most of the shift
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, pushing, & pulling for various tasks
• Must be able to retrieve and hang Print Plates and Dies, lifting them above chest height, and put them away prior to placing the next Plate or Die
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to lift and control large sheets of corrugated
• Must be flexible with job duties assigned

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Familiarity with a corrugated or rigid box manufacturing plan

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for feeding sheets of raw stock into a Rotary Die Cutting Machine
• Assisting the machine operator in all aspects of set up and operation of the machine
• Performing in-process inspections
• Meeting general workmanship guidelines for quality
• Accurate data collection into the Amtech PDC
• Meet production goals of the Company & quality requirements of our customers
• Act as an Assistant Machine Operator/Feeder for other machines as assigned
• Other job duties as assigned
• Willing and able to be trained to successfully fill in as the Operator in the event the Operator is absent
