About The Position

The Machine Operator Assistant supports manufacturing production in Springfield, Missouri. The role assists with machine setup, calibration, and operation; monitors product quality; performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting; and documents production and maintenance information. The position requires following work instructions and safety procedures, communicating with team members and supervisors, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The work takes place in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled and may be hot and humid. Overtime may be required, including shifts of up to 12 hours and occasional weekends.

Requirements

• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production processes.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic manufacturing math.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment that may be hot and humid.
• Ability to work overtime as needed, including up to 12-hour shifts and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of stable manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation.
• Monitor quality and ensure products meet specifications.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting using hand tools.
• Accurately record production data, downtime, and maintenance information using computer systems.
• Follow established manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
