ASSISTANT IMAGING PRN-RIS PACS
About The Position
The Imaging Assistant supports the delivery of high-quality patient care within Union Health Imaging Services, which includes X-ray, CT, MRI, General Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. The role assists patients and imaging staff while ensuring services are provided in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. This PRN position is open to current employees in the 66052/RIS PACS cost center only. The schedule offers flexibility to work varying hours and shifts based on department needs. Prior Imaging Assistant experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Must be a current employee in the 66052/RIS PACS cost center.
- Healthcare Provider BLS-level CPR is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Imaging Assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Gown and dress patients, help them with paperwork, prepare them for procedures, and assist with ambulation and transportation.
- Prepare imaging equipment, stock supplies, and clean equipment as required.
- Answer call lights, print patient labels for forms, burn CDs, and share images through Nuance Powershare.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of health and safety, appropriate conduct, a positive attitude, awareness of unit activities, and basic clerical skills.
