About The Position
Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 2 years in housekeeping leadership experience.
- Basic math skills.
- HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS).
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
- Excellent time management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Post high school education preferred.
Responsibilities
- Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
- Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
- Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.
- Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms.
- Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary in rooms or on property.
- Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines direct employees.
- Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies.
- Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendance.
- Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
- Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.
- Other duties as assigned.
