About The Position

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager oversees the Housekeeping operations, manages the staff and controls the activities of the Housekeeping Department assuring that our Guest Rooms, Public Areas and Employee Areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness. Direct the efforts of the Laundry/Valet Department.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Two years employment in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of the Housekeeping aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and generally learn on-the-job.
  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to read and speak English clearly.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • 62 employees supervised.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Supervise room attendants, public area attendants, house attendant, and laundry and valet personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, public areas, and service areas, laundry areas.
  • Monitor room readiness and coordinate closely with Front Office and Engineering teams.
  • Train, coach, and develop housekeeping staff to maintain luxury hospitality standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll review, attendance monitoring, and labor cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Support departmental projects, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports and participate in management meetings.
  • Assigns staff to complete the needed activities for the day.
  • Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manages the staff of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Interviews and trains the staff.
  • Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
  • Coordinates the housekeeping needs of any Condominium or Co-op owners.
  • Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.
  • Ensure payroll is accurate.
  • Ensure Standards Tests are completed daily
  • Oversee Perfect Room program
  • Oversee Night Cleaners
  • Provides Crunch team assistance to departments throughout the hotel.
