About The Position

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for maintaining a pristine level of cleanliness throughout suites and property, monitoring preventative maintenance, and creating and maintaining a highly motivated and customer-oriented team that exceeds high-end customer service. This role also assists in managing, maintaining, and controlling housekeeping labor costs, and oversees the in-house laundry, purchasing, inventory, and labor controls. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards, manages guest requests, and organizes lost and found items. Additionally, this role involves managing, hiring, training, scheduling, motivating, and coaching housekeeping employees, and reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Employees are expected to use AI responsibly and in compliance with company policies, data privacy requirements, confidentiality obligations, and applicable laws. All AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs must be reviewed for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before use. Employees are also expected to disclose when AI tools have been used in the creation of work and must not present AI-generated content as solely their own original work.

Requirements

  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining pristine level of cleanliness throughout suites and property.
  • Monitoring the preventative maintenance of the property.
  • Creating and maintaining a highly motivated and customer orientated team that exceeds high end customer service.
  • Assisting in managing, maintaining, and controlling housekeeping labor costs.
  • Assisting with the in-house laundry oversight, purchasing, inventory, and labor controls.
  • Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned to ensure quality standards.
  • Running room reports, verifying room status, determining discrepant rooms, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating status of departing guest rooms.
  • Ensuring all rooms are available for sale and all deficiencies are amended.
  • Partnering with management to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Managing and monitoring all guest requests sent from Guest Services to ensure they are completed, documented, and resolved.
  • Organizing and properly tracking lost and found.
  • Managing, hiring, training, coordinating schedules, motivating, and assisting with coaching and of housekeeping employees.
  • Reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensuring employees follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as required.
