Bobby Jones Links is hiring for an Assistant Golf Professional at Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg, TN. The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities, developing merchandise sales and promotions, providing golf lessons, developing and conducting junior golf clinics, ordering supplies for the golf shop, playing golf with members, understanding the point of sales system, assisting with tournament operations, and maintaining logs.

Requirements

Willingness to learn.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
Understanding of Club Financials.
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation.

Responsibilities

Complete an accurate inventory count each month and have a firm understanding of cost of goods sold.
Assist the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
Develop merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
Provide golf lessons to all members and guests, overseeing the instruction program at the club.
Develop and conduct junior golf clinics.
Order supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
Play golf with members to ensure enthusiasm for the game.
Understand how to use the point of sales system.
Assist the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations.
Maintain all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc.).
