About The Position

This position is responsible for communicating with individuals or groups verbally and in writing, driving and implementing the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals, forecasting and following up on staffing, workload, and performance results, managing assigned financial aspects, and monitoring facility-wide compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards. The role also involves investigating and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns, serving as a community liaison, and supervising and managing associates and leaders. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
• 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
• OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.
• OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing.

• Investigate and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
• Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities.
• Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
• Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for learning and growth.
• Teach and support Logistics and company policies and procedures.
• Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates facility-wide.
