About The Position

The Assistant General Manager will help open a new restaurant, hire and train its founding team, and establish operating standards for the community. Working in partnership with the General Manager, this hands-on leadership role supports consistent restaurant execution, develops team members, maintains food and service standards, and contributes to the restaurant’s financial performance and growth.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of full-service restaurant management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability and motivation to grow into a General Manager position.
• Coaching-oriented leadership approach.
• Organized, candid, and calm under pressure.
• Commitment to providing memorable guest experiences.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to ensure flawless execution of restaurant operations on every shift.
• Provide direction, coaching, and development in food quality, service standards, safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure consistent execution of systems, standards, inventory, and cost controls.
• Partner with the General Manager on financial performance, action plans, and company initiatives.
• Interview and help select team members, maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Respond promptly to guest feedback and resolve issues to create positive guest experiences.
• Work with the catering team to strengthen community relationships and build sales.
• Keep the operation clean, stocked, and ready, including the smoker and front-of-house areas.
• Help open the new restaurant, hire its founding team, and train team members in company practices.
