About The Position

The Assistant General Manager oversees bar operations and hotel service excellence at Drury Plaza Columbus Downtown. The role leads hospitality professionals, manages the bar and beverage program, supports daily hotel operations, and works to create memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities include developing the team, maintaining brand standards, and monitoring budgets, inventory, and revenue to support profitability while preserving guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Passion for serving others and exceeding guest expectations.
• Proven experience in hotel operations and/or bar management in a hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of bar operations and beverage cost control.
• At least one year of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success.

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
• Hotel or restaurant experience.

• Motivate and lead hospitality professionals to provide top-tier service and ensure smooth hotel and bar operations.
• Oversee bar operations and maintain an engaging, efficient beverage program.
• Create a welcoming and energetic guest experience from check-in through the bar experience.
• Assist with daily hotel management, including guest services, financial performance, and brand standards.
• Hire, train, and develop team members to reflect the hotel’s culture of excellence and service.
• Monitor budgets, inventory, and revenue to optimize profitability without sacrificing guest satisfaction.
