About The Position

At Sbarro, the Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to drive sales, develop the team, and ensure daily operational excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role supports day-to-day restaurant operations and steps into the General Manager role when needed to ensure seamless operations. The Assistant General Manager leads by example and helps deliver exceptional food and customer service.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of restaurant leadership or management experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience managing labor, food costs, and restaurant operations.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Hire, train, and retain top talent while building a positive team culture.
• Drive sales through excellent execution, hospitality, and operational standards.
• Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards are consistently met.
• Manage inventory, ordering, labor, and cost controls to achieve business goals.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and create loyal, repeat customers.
• Step into the General Manager role when needed to ensure seamless operations.
