About The Position
Seven Gables Inn is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of food, drinks, service, and the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will lead, coach, and inspire the food & beverage team to deliver excellent service, oversee daily operations, and act as a problem solver during busy periods. The position also involves creating a positive team environment, maintaining service standards, assisting with operational tasks like scheduling and inventory, and building guest relationships. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager and leadership team to drive operational success.
Requirements
- Hospitality experience with a passion for food, beverage, and people.
- Leadership experience—or the drive and potential to step into a bigger leadership role.
- Ability to stay cool under pressure and bring good energy to the room.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
- Detail-oriented multitasker who can keep the big picture in sight.
- Genuine hospitality mindset, understanding that small details make a big impression.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire the food & beverage team to deliver genuinely awesome service.
- Oversee daily restaurant, bar, and/or banquet operations.
- Act as the go-to problem solver when things get busy, unexpected, or delightfully chaotic.
- Create a fun, positive team environment where people actually enjoy coming to work.
- Maintain service standards, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with scheduling, training, inventory, ordering, and controlling costs.
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team.
- Build relationships with guests and ensure their experience is memorable.
- Partner with the Food & Beverage Manager and leadership team to keep operations moving forward.
