About The Position
Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO). Working under the direction of the Facility Security Officer (FSO), the AFSO helps ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations for classified contracts, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other regulatory directives. The role is onsite in East Aurora, New York, on a first-shift schedule, with travel to site locations expected (20%). Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant industrial security experience.
- Current Top Secret (TS) security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Ability and willingness to participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Ability and willingness to travel to site locations.
- Experience interpreting and applying NISPOM and other government regulations.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and government databases including DISS, NISS, and SWFT.
Responsibilities
- Assist the FSO in administering the company’s National Industrial Security Program and maintaining compliance with government and customer security requirements.
- Draft standard operating procedures, the Insider Threat Program Plan, and related operating procedures for FSO review and approval.
- Conduct annual self-inspections for FSO review and approval.
- Participate in government audits.
- Manage incident reporting and assist with investigations involving security incidents.
