About The Position

Reggio's Treehouse is seeking a full-time Float Teacher to support its classroom teams in Reston, Virginia. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the school provides a nurturing environment where curiosity drives learning and children's voices are valued. The educator works closely with Lead Teachers to help create a safe, engaging, and developmentally rich environment for young learners. The position is in person, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The posting says the role is to begin immediately and describes supporting infants and their families.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
Professional, dependable, and adaptable.
Genuine love for children and commitment to early childhood education.

Nice To Haves

CDA or Associate's Degree preferred.
Familiarity with Reggio Emilia-inspired or project-based learning environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with Lead Teachers to plan and deliver meaningful, project-based learning experiences.
Observe, document, and track each child's growth and development using classroom technology.
Prepare lesson materials and contribute ideas to the curriculum.
Act as a caring role model and maintain the safety and well-being of children in care.
Build relationships with families through parent meetings, school events, and community activities.
Collaborate with fellow educators to continuously improve classroom experiences.
