About The Position

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking entry-level Assistant District Attorneys to serve Bronx County and pursue justice with integrity. Attorneys receive significant responsibility early in their careers and extensive courtroom experience from the outset. Once proficient, they handle serious and complex cases and develop litigation skills through regular court appearances, hearings, motion practice, evidentiary proceedings, and trials under the guidance of experienced supervisors. Attorneys must commit to three years of initial service to the Office. Following training, attorneys are typically assigned to misdemeanor practice in either the General Crimes Bureau within the Trial Division or the Domestic Violence Bureau within the Special Victims Division. The Office provides hands-on litigation training, continuing legal education, simulation-based exercises, mentorship from experienced supervisors and bureau leadership, and advanced instruction in specialized practice areas. BXDA emphasizes hands-on supervision, collaborative case review, and continuous professional growth. The work environment is described as collaborative and mission-driven, valuing professionalism, integrity, wellness, and continuous learning. The position commences Monday, March 8, 2027.
