About The Position

The Assistant Director of rootEd Missouri supports the operational execution, data systems management, and training and professional development infrastructure of the rootEd Missouri initiative. This role serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for translating program vision into operational systems, processes, and resources that support advisors, regional directors, partner districts, and employer partners. The Assistant Director will lead the development and coordination of advisor onboarding, ongoing professional development, and training resources while ensuring the systems and tools needed to support the program are functioning effectively. This position will also oversee the management of program data systems and reporting tools to ensure accurate and accessible information for program staff, partners, and grant reporting needs. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Programs and based at Ozarks Technical Community College.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving postsecondary outcomes for rural high school students.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of training, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Ability to travel across Missouri.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other professional productivity tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience in school district, nonprofit, or higher education leadership.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI), with a focus on data management.
  • Background in case management, college and career advising, or workforce development.
  • Experience launching or managing cross-sector, grant-funded initiatives including training, onboarding, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of operational data systems, training, and tools that support the rootEd Missouri program in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Design, coordinate, and implement advisor onboarding and ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality, consistent program delivery statewide.
  • Develop and maintain training resources, guidance materials, and implementation tools to support rootEd advisors, Regional Directors, and partner districts.
  • Manage program data systems, including CRM platforms and PowerBI reporting tools, to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with program and grant requirements.
  • Oversee data collection, tracking, and reporting processes to support decision-making, measure program effectiveness, and meet external reporting expectations.
  • Manage data uploads, including cleaning, formatting, and preparing data for use in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate statewide meetings, convenings, and events that advance program implementation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support relationships with partner districts, higher education institutions, and workforce and industry partners to strengthen postsecondary pathways for students.
  • Provide operational support and training to program staff and partners through regular travel and engagement across the state.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and program delivery, and implement enhancements in collaboration with rootEd Missouri leadership.
  • Ensure alignment of operations, training, and data systems with grant requirements, program goals, and statewide performance metrics.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with Ozarks Technical Community College policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees, participating in community events, and supporting relationship-building with businesses and industries that enhance student outcomes.
