About The Position

rootEd Missouri is a statewide initiative designed to improve postsecondary outcomes for students from rural Missouri communities. The program supports dedicated college and career advisors in up to 60 rural Missouri high schools, partnering with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). These advisors work with school counselors and district leadership to ensure every student graduates with a postsecondary plan and to increase the number of students enrolling in postsecondary options. Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC), sponsored by rootEd, collaborates with DESE to guide the program, provide training and support to advisors, collect data for evaluation, and execute a growth strategy. The Regional Director (RD) will coach and serve as the primary point of contact for school-based rootEd advisors within a designated geography, aiming to increase the number of students choosing education beyond high school. The RD will ensure advisor success through training, planning support, problem-solving, and data-driven coaching. They will also support the broader rootEd initiative by collecting quantitative and qualitative data and sharing best practices. Additionally, the RD will maintain strong relationships with partner district and school leadership, building investment and providing progress updates.
