Requirements

  • A minimum of four years' experience in personnel supervision and evaluation, program development and evaluation, and fiscal management, along with four years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated experience working with high school aged students
  • Aptitude in management, supervision, strategic planning, project management and program implementation
  • Ability to adapt to change in the work environment, effectively handle multiple tasks and competing demands
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form
  • Ability to design and implement formative and summative evaluation strategies
  • Demonstrate high level of proficiency with computer applications including Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Excel spreadsheets and MS Word).
  • This position requires the successful completion of a live scan fingerprinting for Sonoma State University, including a live scan fingerprinting at the assigned school site location and TB test.
  • Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred, as is possession of a valid California Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential.
  • Experience working with TRiO Upward Bound or Talent Search programs and familiarity with federal compliance standards are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Aeries, student information system and PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
