About The Position

QSL Management is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness for The Barclay at Clemson. The role works with the Director of Wellness to support the effective and efficient daily operations of the wellness (Nursing Care) department. The Assistant Director directly supervises nursing and personal care staff and helps manage residents’ well-being and care. This position contributes to a positive departmental culture by providing care alongside team members and helps ensure superior care, service excellence, and compliance with federal and state requirements.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• Flexibility and readiness to assist on a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or university.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care.
• Experience in dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Wellness to ensure effective and efficient daily operations in the wellness department.
• Directly supervise nursing and personal care staff in managing resident well-being and care.
• Assist with onboarding and training new wellness staff.
• Build a positive culture in the wellness department by providing care alongside team members.
• Assess residents’ health, functional, and psychosocial status and proactively manage their care.
• Ensure superior care and promote service excellence.
• Work with the Director of Wellness to help ensure the community meets federal and state guidelines and requirements.
• Assist with scheduling the wellness team and assigning shift duties.
• Conduct cart audits and chart audits.
• Communicate effectively with doctors and families.
