About The Position

The Associate Director of Student-Athlete Services provides leadership and coordination for key enrollment, onboarding, and transitional support processes for NCAA Division I student-athletes. This role ensures alignment with university systems while centering the student-athlete experience through strategic partnerships with campus units including Enrollment Services, the Bickerstaff Academic Center, Housing, Compliance, and International Education.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
  • Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
  • The incumbent is required to maintain a working knowledge of NCAA, Big West Conference, Golden Coast Conference, and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting operations by coordinating on-campus official visit logistics, including scheduling housing tours and assisting with “first impression” experiences for prospective student-athletes.
  • Manage shared recruiting resources such as the department golf cart, including scheduling, prioritization across sport programs, and ensuring maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness for coach use.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to support broader Move-In Day efforts for the general student body, contributing to a positive first impression and enhancing the overall student life experience.
  • International Student-Athlete Support.
  • Serve as the department’s Teamworks super user, acting as the primary liaison with the vendor and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead system optimization efforts, troubleshoot user issues, and develop and deliver training for coaches and staff to ensure effective and consistent utilization of Teamworks across all sport programs.
