About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Retail Security Operations to lead security services at a premier site in Utah. The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing all on-site security personnel and operations, ensuring proper staffing, officer training, compliance with policies and procedures, and strong client relationships. This role involves working closely with the client and company leadership to achieve operational goals and maintain the highest standards of service. Requirements

  • UT Guard Card Strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of security supervision or leadership experience required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Background in corrections, law enforcement, military, account management, or security operations preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Proficient in computer systems and security technology
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with on-call availability

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional interaction with clients, residents, guests, and visitors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication
  • Develop and implement site-specific security policies and procedures
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring officers complete required duties (timesheets, logs, reports, incident documentation)
  • Review and verify all reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and operational coverage
  • Recruit, hire, and train new security officers
  • Address employee relations and payroll concerns promptly
  • Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with uniform and equipment standards
  • Utilize and oversee security systems including CCTV, and reporting technology
  • Enforce company policies and administer coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Communicate important updates and operational changes to staff in a timely manner
