About The Position

This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and administrative support of the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs portfolio of programs. This position ensures the effective coordination of program activities, supports faculty, students, and stakeholders, and helps maintain the program's compliance with university policies and accreditation requirements. The Assistant Director of Program Operations plays a key role in building systems and programs, creating and maintaining vendor relations, and managing operations. This role directly contributes to the University’s mission by planning and executing the operations necessary to run the school’s multiple graduate program offerings serving 500+ students annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater education level is required.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a professional setting managing large volumes of data, meeting critical deadlines, completing projects and collaborating effectively within teams.
  • Must have a strong and effective communication engine capable of handling a large volume of multiple communication tasks simultaneously while delivering accurate, informational, directive, and clear information, both verbally and in writing, to wide range of stakeholders including university colleagues, faculty, executives, vendors, and early- and mid-career professionals.
  • Must have a demonstrated, expert use of the Microsoft suite and Google suite of products, with a special focus on MS-WORD, MS-EXCEL, GMAIL, and Google Drive.
  • Must be able to understand, work from, and manage simple and sometimes complex financial plans, such as program budgets.
  • Must be able to monitor, manage, and designs large databases, such as student rosters and co-curricular calendars.
  • Must be capable of functioning independently and with complete discretion since much of the information related to students, both applicants and degree candidates, is highly confidential and protected by law. Little to no supervision is expected on the vast majority of tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a small team.
  • Must be ready and able to travel up to 5% of the year to domestic and international locations to support global programs—if necessary.
