About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing manages administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department and assists the Director of Nursing with the department’s overall operation. The role supports compliance with company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care. The Assistant Director of Nursing delegates the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their assigned duties.

The position is with Signature HealthCARE of East Louisville, a 128-bed facility providing long-term care, advanced diabetes care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, in-house dialysis, wound care, and 24-hour skilled nursing care. The organization emphasizes resident-centered care, person-directed services, quality outcomes, and team-member development.

The schedule is four 10-hour shifts from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and one additional weekday. Pay is up to $49.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in good standing with a current state license.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Current, active CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Detailed, organized, and knowledgeable about policies and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall operation of the department in accordance with company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care.
• Delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability needed by Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their assigned duties.
• Support and train stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.
