About The Position

Wood Violet Recovery, an affiliate of Sunshine Behavioral Health, is a residential substance use treatment program located in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. They are seeking a compassionate, confident, and organized Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead their medical team. The ADON will oversee RNs and LPNs, provide direct client care, ensure high-quality services, and contribute to the mission of sustainable sobriety. The role involves leading the nursing team in detox and residential care, overseeing medication administration, collaborating on treatment plans, managing supplies and scheduling, communicating with clients and families, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Current RN license, with ability to practice in Wisconsin.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, ideally with substance use or behavioral health.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Strong communication with the ability to connect with clients and staff alike.
• Skills in documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Utilization Review or EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing team in our detox and residential care programs.
• Oversee medication administration, detox services, and health education.
• Collaborate with providers to create and execute treatment plans.
• Review and sign off on all behavioral health nursing services.
• Track medical supplies, manage scheduling, and support staff training.
• Communicate with clients and families to provide reassurance, education, and support.
• Document everything accurately to meet compliance and quality standards.
