About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department. The role helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and maintain high-quality care, as directed by the Executive Director, Medical Director, or Director of Health Services.

The ADON coordinates with the DON to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team; assists with coordination of nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to support continuity of residents’ total care; and helps implement the clinical staffing model. The position also performs administrative tasks, participates in the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, and assists with facility surveys and accreditation programs.

The position is located at North River Health Campus in Evansville, Indiana.

Requirements

• Associate degree or advanced degree in Nursing.
• Current, valid state RN license that must be maintained.
• Current, valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the DON to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
• Assist in coordinating nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure continuity of residents’ total regimen of care.
• Assist in implementing the clinical staffing model.
• Complete administrative duties as necessary, including medical forms, reports, audits, evaluations, and charting.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Participate in and prepare for facility surveys and accreditation programs conducted by authorized regulatory agencies and/or the company.
