About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves assisting in managing daily clinical and operational activities in the Labor & Delivery unit, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating L&D nursing staff and charge nurses, and ensuring compliance with various standards. The position also supports quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based maternal care practices, and assists with staffing, scheduling, and unit readiness for obstetric emergencies. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is crucial to ensure safe maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong clinical background in high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing required
- Prior leadership experience as ADON, Nurse Manager, or supervisory role required
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of New York
- BSN required
- BLS certification required
- Strong crisis management, leadership, and communication skills

- Master’s degree preferred
