About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn, NY. This on-site contract position involves providing clinical and administrative oversight for Behavioral Health nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission standards. The role includes supervising, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff, implementing evidence-based practices, managing workflows, staffing, budgeting, and resource utilization, and collaborating with interdisciplinary leadership to support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing leadership experience required
- Proven experience in nursing supervisory or management role in acute or inpatient psychiatric setting
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of New York
- BSN required
- Strong psychiatric clinical judgment and crisis management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities

- Master’s degree preferred
