About The Position

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to support the daily operations of the Care Center's nursing department and help ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care. You will provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff while promoting regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and a positive resident experience. This role collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, address operational needs, and advance department goals. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, you will provide day-to-day oversight of nursing services and staff.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado required.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, or ENPC certification required within six months of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to become proficient in required healthcare and workforce management systems within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading and coordinating Care Center nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and support to nursing staff, fostering accountability, professional growth, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with clinical and support departments to promote effective care coordination and resident-centered services.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and assist in resolving clinical and operational challenges.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned
