About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) by planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain high-quality care, as directed by the Executive Director, Medical Director, or Director of Health Services.

The ADON coordinates with the DON to select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team; helps coordinate nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders; supports implementation of the clinical staffing model; completes administrative duties as needed; participates in the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program; and helps prepare for facility surveys and accreditation programs.

The position is at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, Indiana.

Requirements

• Associate degree or advanced degree in Nursing.
• Must have and maintain a current, valid state RN license.
• Must have and maintain current, valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the DON to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
• Help coordinate nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure continuity of residents’ total regimen of care.
• Assist with implementing the clinical staffing model.
• Complete administrative duties as necessary, including medical forms, reports, audits, evaluations, and charting.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Participate in and prepare for facility surveys and accreditation programs conducted by authorized regulatory agencies or the company.
