About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a vital role in managing the nursing department. The role supports staffing and personnel processes, staff orientation and education, care planning, Continuous Quality Improvement, regulatory documentation compliance, and infection control. The position is at Diversicare Sedgwick in Sedgwick, Kansas.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State Board of Nursing.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• LTC/SNF experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing applicants.
• Assist with scheduling.
• Participate in orientation and in-service education training.
• Participate in performance reviews.
• Enforce personnel policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel.
• Assist with care planning.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized.
