About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) manages administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. The ADON assists the Director of Nursing in operating the department in accordance with company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care. The role delegates the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability needed by Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their assigned duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, knowledgeable about policies and government regulations, and passionate about supporting and training stakeholders to provide excellent resident care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in good standing with a current required state license.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Current and active CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in the overall operation of the department in accordance with company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care.
• Delegate to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability needed to perform their assigned duties.
