Assistant Director Nursing RN
About The Position
The Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for providing resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice. In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services, the ADNS develops, communicates, and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and the company and facility philosophy of care, consistent with Federal and State laws and corporate policies and procedures. The role calls for leadership that inspires and motivates clinical staff, a strong foundation in nursing knowledge and skills, and a commitment to coaching and mentoring staff. The ADNS communicates effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families and helps create a comforting, engaging atmosphere for residents. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
- Demonstrated nursing knowledge and skills, with compliance to company, Federal, and State standards.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate with the Director of Nursing Services to develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure nursing policies and procedures reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, the company and facility philosophy of care, and applicable Federal and State laws and corporate policies.
- Coach and mentor clinical staff.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
