About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for providing resident care in accordance with professional nursing standards. In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services, the ADNS develops, communicates, and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, the company and facility philosophy of care, applicable federal and state laws, and corporate policies and procedures. The role calls for clinical leadership, staff coaching and mentoring, effective communication with staff, residents, and residents’ families, and creating a comforting, engaging atmosphere for residents. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
Solid foundation of nursing knowledge and skills, while maintaining compliance with company, federal, and state standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.
Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Responsibilities

Assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice.
Coordinate with the Director of Nursing Services to develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
Support and motivate clinical staff and foster a positive work environment.
Coach and mentor clinical staff.
Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.
Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
