About The Position

The Assistant Director of Int’l Recruitment & Enrollment (ADIRE) develops and executes the strategic plans for the recruitment, admission and enrollment of international students from Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa to Minnesota State University, Mankato. The position will assist in developing an annual international recruitment plan, yield and enrollment plan by prioritizing international student markets, developing and utilizing customized enrollment initiatives. This position supports the international enrollment management goals of Minnesota State Mankato to identify and recruit high-quality and diverse international students for all academic programs and all levels of study with a focus on undergraduate New Entering Freshmen (NEF) and transfer student populations, including international transfer students studying in the U.S. and abroad, and the recruitment of students for the Intensive English Program (IEP). This position strategically collaborates with the Office of Admissions, Graduate Admission, the Center for English Language Programs, academic colleges and other university stakeholders, to assist in creating and leading in executing a multi-year international enrollment plan, in addition to a variety of support services that will assist in the development of partnerships, connections and pipelines between MNSU and entities from abroad (agents, institutions, organizations and sponsors) This position has a keen understanding of currently global recruitment trends, international market characteristics and emerging markets.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or three years of experience in the recruitment/admissions of post-secondary international students.
  • Cross-cultural advising and programming experience.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal communication with an international population.
  • Valid, applicable driver’s license.
  • Acceptable DVS records check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel by various modes of transportation including airplane, automobile, bus, and train.
