Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred)
  • Hospitality background, experience with complex and multi-property setup
  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role
  • Solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required
  • Minimum two years of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience
  • Minimum of two years in property management and HOA accounting
  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to make strategic financial decisions
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • Experience with accounting systems - MS Office, ProfitSword, Track PMS, Oracle, Breezeway and Floqast
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Excel spreadsheet applications
  • Possess knowledge of general payroll functions
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to perform general job duties while multi-tasking
  • Ability to work and communicate well with co-workers, vendors, guests, and owners
  • Strong desire and confidence to challenge status quo and identify new ways to improve process efficiencies

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing all financial aspects of the organization and ensure the company's financial health.
  • Develop financial strategies, monitor cash flow, manage financial reporting, and lead the finance team.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Help to lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the departmental staff.
  • Experience in income audit, AP, and general accounting transactions.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including variance reports.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations with timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Responsible for presenting financial reports to owners and HOA’s.
  • Maintain and update month end close checklists to maximize efficiency of the accounting team.
