About The Position

The Assistant Director of Dining Services provides hands-on leadership for district dining operations in an education dining program in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The role supports culinary oversight, client partnerships, team leadership, and operational excellence. It is a highly visible position suited to a foodservice leader who enjoys working in the field, building relationships, and delivering an outstanding dining experience. The position supports staffing, training, food safety, and financial performance, with a primarily Monday–Friday schedule and little to no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

At least 2 years of food service management experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Financial experience and business acumen skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.

Nice To Haves

An associate’s degree is highly preferred.
