The Assistant Director of Convention Services supports the Director in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Convention Services Department with an emphasis on assigning group turnovers, supervising the hourly associates within the department (including Banquet Event Order distribution), training and onboarding new managers and associates, and servicing assigned groups. A significant factor for success will rely on achieving Group Medallia and Associate Engagement Survey scores that meet or exceed both the previous year’s results and company benchmarks. The Assistant Director of Convention Services will guide the team in achieving monthly revenue goals, develop and implement service action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Catering & Convention Services.
